Rosie: The Story

This is a bit about Rosie – our latest and favourite table system.

Rosie is the product of a natural collaboration between Thinking Works and Burgtec, setting out to design something that satisfies the emerging work styles of the contemporary office. Starting with a foot-‘ring-around’, Rosie grew into a unique suite of modular tables and accessories.

Rosie is for those formal and informal staff meetings.
Rosie is for those let’s come up with ideas over coffee moments.
Rosie is for those casual stand-up conversation moments.
Rosie is for those intensive brainstorming session moments.

The vast array of table lengths and heights means there is a Rosie table to suit virtually any space, large or small, for a sit-down meeting or a stand-up huddle session. The design language of Rosie is clean and calm with simple lines and soft forms. The sensitive use of materials throughout the product avoids unnecessary visual ornamentation resulting in a design aesthetic that is a perfect fit in today’s workplace but also will remain timeless for years to come.

The modularity of the Rosie table system extends to the foot rail system that is included on all standing height Rosie tables. The foot rail adds an extra level of comfort to the standing height Rosie table by providing a place to rest your foot which runs along the outer perimeter of the table.

The Rosie Power Plant-er and Power Vortex are innovative power accessories designed to compliment the Rosie table system:

The Power Plant-er provides power access above the worktop with the power outlets contained in an attractive planter unit. The Power Plant-er provides convenient access to power for keeping your laptop charged during meetings, while also injecting greenery in the workplace which promotes better health and well-being. The Power Plant-er also offers a subtle divider between users for an element of privacy. The use of plywood and acoustic PET materials further enhance the warm and inviting aesthetic.

The Power Vortex is a tidy in-table power solution that provides easy access to power to keep your laptop, phone or tablet charged during those agile collaborative sessions while keeping excess cabling off the table top. The Power Vortex access lids provide power within reach from either side of the table for charging devices, as well as offering large capacity stowage for excess cables and power adaptors in a soft fabric lower enclosure. An integrated umbilical connection point at the underside of the fabric enclosure allows for neat reticulation of softwiring down an umbilical to the floor.
